LSG’s Home Dominance Continues, But Can They Conquer RCB at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in IPL 2023?

The Lucknow Super Giants have started IPL 2023 on a high note, winning both their home games and establishing their home ground as a fortress.[expander_maker id=”1″ ] However, they failed to replicate their home form in their only away game against Chennai Super Kings. While their bowling has been their strength at home, with their pace attack and Krunal Pandya leading the way, their batting still needs to prove their mettle in T20 games.

Their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore will be an opportunity to test their batting strength against one of the most formidable teams in the tournament. RCB’s performance so far has been mixed, blowing hot and cold in their two encounters. However, playing at their home ground, they will be a formidable challenge for LSG.

RCB’s bowling has been impressive in the Powerplay phase, picking up five wickets and being the most economical with a rate of 6.33. However, their perennial problem of death bowling continues to plague them, as they have conceded 117 runs in eight overs and picked up only three wickets between overs 16 and 20. They will have to rectify this problem if they hope to win against a strong LSG batting line-up.

Both teams have their concerns going into the match. For LSG, the likes of KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda have not been firing on all cylinders, while RCB’s middle order must find its form. In addition, RCB will have to work on improving their net run rate after their heavy defeat in their last outing.

The pitch at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium is expected to play similar to the one in RCB’s opening game against Mumbai Indians, with a hint of green and plenty of assistance for all types of bowlers. LSG will have to counter RCB’s spinners, with Karn Sharma having dismissed Deepak Hooda twice in just 10 balls. RCB, on the other hand, will look to use spin to counter KL Rahul’s positive match-up against Mohammad Siraj.

Overall, the match promises to be an exciting encounter with both teams eager to rectify their flaws and come out on top.

When: Monday, April 10 at 19:30 IST Where: M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru Head to head: RCB 2 – 0 LSG.[/expander_maker]
