Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel expressed his disappointment following his team’s 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. [expander_maker id=”1″ ] While acknowledging the dominance of the City side, Tuchel believes that his team deserved a goal and conceded one or two too quickly.

In his post-match press conference, Tuchel praised the performance of his players, saying that he had fallen in love with his team’s style of play. Despite the loss, the Bayern coach claimed that the game had been enjoyable to watch. However, Tuchel pointed out that his players lacked confidence and admitted that the result was a bitter pill to swallow.

The loss dealt a significant blow to Bayern Munich’s hopes of advancing to the semi-finals of the competition. Nonetheless, Tuchel remained optimistic, saying that his team would fight back in the second leg.

“We will give our all,” Tuchel declared. “We will leave no stone unturned and do our best to progress to the next stage. We have to be better in the next game and have to avoid making mistakes early on.”

Bayern Munich will host Manchester City in the second leg of the quarter-finals, hoping to overturn the three-goal deficit. However, achieving this feat will not be an easy task, as City has been in excellent form this season.

The German coach acknowledged the difficulty of the task ahead, but he remains confident in his team’s ability to bounce back.

“Manchester City is a great team, and it won’t be easy to beat them. However, we will show character and spirit in the next game, and we will give our everything to qualify for the semi-finals,” Tuchel asserted.[/expander_maker]
