Can KKR get around to collective brilliance?

Expectations can be unpredictable at times in cricket. One day a team might feel as if no one expects them to win, and then all of a sudden, they become the talk of the town. [expander_maker id=”1″ ]

This is what happened with the Kolkata Knight Riders who picked up two wins that were nothing short of miracles. With Shardul Thakur and Rinku Singh’s heroics, Kolkata Knight Riders managed to pull off a win against Gujarat Titans, one of the favorites to win the tournament. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad also picked up their first victory of the season against Punjab Kings with a clinical chase.

Both teams will come into this match with a renewed sense of self-belief after their recent wins. Kolkata Knight Riders will be looking to maintain their momentum without relying on individual performances, while Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to build on their versatile squad that is yet to reach its full potential. Harry Brook is one of their key batsmen, and his performance can play a vital role in furthering the team’s success.

The Eden Gardens in Kolkata is known to be a ground that favors pace, and the spinners can also hurry the batsmen. So, a high-scoring match can be expected if there is no surprise collapse, keeping in mind the previous game played on this ground.

Kolkata Knight Riders have a better record against Sunrisers Hyderabad, especially at the Eden Gardens. Their two new recruits, Liton Das and Jason Roy, will strengthen their batting line-up, and hopefully avoid further rescue acts. Meanwhile, the Sunrisers are expected to stick to the same playing XI with Harry Brook’s inclusion, despite his lack of runs.

Rahul Tripathi has proven to be a thorn in Sunil Narine’s side, scoring 71 off 48 balls without ever being dismissed by the Kolkata Knight Riders spinner. While Aiden Markram has faced Varun Chakravarthy’s bowling confidently in the past, scoring 40 runs off 20 balls.

Both teams have some intriguing match-ups, and it will be interesting to see the strategies they employ in this game.[/expander_maker]
