NBA: Danny Green, Three-Time NBA Champion, Retires
American basketball player Danny Green (37 years old), one of only four players in history to win an NBA title with three different teams, announced his retirement on Thursday.
Green, who played 15 seasons in the North American professional league, including 8 with the San Antonio Spurs, captured titles with Tony Parker’s Spurs in 2014, the Toronto Raptors in 2019, and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.
This sharpshooting 3-point specialist earned his most recent championship ring alongside LeBron James, who himself has been crowned with three different franchises (Miami, Cleveland, and the Lakers), joining the ranks of John Salley and Robert Horry.
In his 15 NBA seasons, Green competed in 832 games, but only 24 over the last two seasons, concluding his career with two appearances for Philadelphia.
